New garden studio for consulting Structural Engineer. With four children, the garden studio serves as a bolt hole for their children. As well as a playroom with computer it serves as a place to take their friends, and as a music practice room. Floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors allow the room to become part of the garden in the summer. Underfloor storage is provided for the instruments.
The client wanted to create a garden on the roof which they could use to grow vegetables, with suitable soil depth and drainage appropriate for growing the majority of crops.
The project was designed to be within the restrictions of permitted development.
